Unlawful Water District Raises Rates!

Metro Water Tucson – Metro Water – Tucson Metro Water District

Tucson Metro Water District (Metro Water Tucson) was formed in 1992 and was formerly “Metro Water Company” before its formation as Metropolitan Domestic Water Improvement District of Pima County.

Metro Water serves roughly 20,000 households throughout the Casas Adobes, Hub, Thim, Diablo Village, Arboles Viejo, and E&T (Ethel and Tom Water Co.) direct-pay service areas. Metro Water District (Metro Water) was founded with the concept in mind that Metrowater residents wanted to have control of their water quality and cost, and could do so through elected representatives of the Metro Water Board. Unlawful retaliation at customer expense against customers and employees along with the METROWATER’S RATE INCREASES to fund unlawful retaliation IS NOT WHAT METRO WATER RATEPAYERS WANT and is a practice that should be discontinued immediately. Misuse of public funds by elected officials is unwise, unwelcome, and may result in restitution payment to the ratepayers and other individuals affected.

Metro Water Tucson has affiliations with the AWWA (American Water Works Association), SAWUA (Southern Arizona Water Utilities Association), AZWater (Arizona Water Association) , CAWCD (Central Arizona Water Conservation District), and CAP (Central Arizona Project).

The Metropolitan Domestic Water Improvement District of Pima County (MDWID), or Metro Water Tucson, has an elected board of five members. Each of these Metro Water Board Members serves a term of four years, with monthly meetings held at the Metro Water office in Tucson located at 6265 N. La Canada. Metro Water Board Members are PIMA COUNTY ELECTED OFFICIALS responsible for directing Metro Water in all areas of ethical, environmental, fiduciary, and legal compliance.

Metro Water Tucson Office directs fifty or less employees, and does business with local contractors as well as those having offices outside of Metro Water Tucson’s area. Metro Water employs the Law firms of Lewis, Roca, Rothgerber, Christi LLP (formerly Lewis, Roca, Rothgerber and previously Lewis and Roca before merging with a Colo. Firm), Jones, Skelton and Hochuli, and Graif, Barrett and Matura (Criminal defense attorneys of great notoriety representing the infamous Colo. City convicted Warren Jeffs.) Public relations companies such as GCJPR (Gordon C James Public Relations), LP&G Marketing, and other PR firms (under lobbying and legal services expenses) handle a strong public relations task for Metro Water to maintain the image as directed by the Metro Water Board. Metro Water legal compliance is the responsibility of the firms receiving ratepayer direct-pay funding and direction from the Metro Water Tucson Board of Directors in Tucson Az.

Metro Water’s legal counsel are members of the AZBAR (Arizona State Bar Association) and bear the responsibility for maintaining the Tucson Metro Water District’s compliance with rules and statutes enforceable under the various jurisdictions of State and Federal agencies such as The United States Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division, Attorney General’s Office Civil rights Division, Arizona Department of Safety and Health (ADOSH)/ Arizona Industrial Commission of Arizona (AZICA.GOV) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Metro Water legal counsel works closely with the legal Divisions of these agencies when tasked with obtaining the best possible outcome desired by Metro Water’s elected Board of Directors and with indifference to victims of Metro Water Unlawful Retaliation and customers of our Arizona water community unaware of how the ongoing rate increases are being misused.  How much longer must we Direct-Pay the rate-increases of Unlawful-Retaliation and do you know a member of the Metro Water Finance Oversight CommitteeMetrowater.info/
